Darcy Trunzo is a coalminer’s daughter, artist and producer living outside of Pittsburgh – who is using art, music and film as a method of inquiry, explores culture and its weird relationships to history and sense of place.
With a decade each in Pittsburgh, NYC and time logged in Minneapolis, The Bay and a number of stops in between both rural and urban – she uses everything from nightlife to existing infrastructure to look at the political landscape and engage in activism and storytelling about these concepts.
We end up talking about soul music, appalachia politics, unions, the film biz, etc etc. Darcy is top ppls and glad to hear her thoughts on a number of issues…
