SOUNDTRACK SOUL Episode 11 features special guest, musician/filmmaker/dj SCOTT JOHANSSON’s “Mo’ Better Scores,” an exclusive sixty minute mix of all African-American soundtrack composers.  From sixties classics and Spike Lee films, to blaxploitation and more recent Marvel TV shows, this tribute includes tracks from some heavy hitters (Herbie Hancock, “Q,” Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, et.al) as well as up-and coming talent, and a few deep cuts and surprises thrown in for good measure.  Based in Birmingham UK, Scott is a longtime visual artist with the cult band Pram (Domino Records) and is also a super talented composer and musician himself, creating live soundtracks for The Mask (1961), La Jetee (1962) and UNARIUS: The Arrival (1979), among others.  He is co-owner of the Ondes Positives record label, putting out obscure early electronic soundtracks in lavish vinyl and tape editions.  For more information about Scott check him out on Twitter @ScottJohannsson
